  17. <p>    She was willing to pay his mortgage, insurance and even
  18. his cable-TV bill, but JOAN LUNDEN was livid when a New York
  19. judge ordered her to pay $18,000 a month temporary alimony to
  20. her estranged husband Michael Krauss, an ex-ABC-TV producer who
  21. championed his wife's ascent to co-host of Good Morning America
  22. in 1980. "Why the courts don't tell a husband who has been
  23. living off his wife to go out and get a job is beyond my
  24. comprehension," said Lunden, who reportedly makes $2 million a
  25. year. Defending the lavish subsidy, Krauss's attorney said,
  26. "He's used to spending more than that. He deserves his share
  27. until he gets on his feet." With that kind of allowance, why
  28. would anyone bother sending out resumes?
